Support the BU Dance Team
Though we receive funding from BU for basketball performance expenses, competing nationally is costly and not funded by the university. To help cover the necessary expenses, we are reaching out to our community. The estimated cost of all expenses to go to Nationals this year is $23,357.

Why We Need Your Help
Our team works tirelessly each year to raise the money needed to compete at Nationals by selling team apparel, cleaning Agganis Arena after events, writing donation and corporate sponsorship letters, and selling old costumes. Although we commit as much time to fundraising as we can, it becomes very difficult on top of being full-time students with rigorous academic schedules, having jobs/internships, performing at all home basketball games, and many hours of practice. We have already raised $3,000 so far this year, but we need an additional $20,000 to help us get to Nationals. The funds we raise will be applied towards: competition fees, air and ground transportation, hotel accommodations, choreography, costumes, and dance shoes and tights.
Help BUDT Get to Nationals
Every April the Boston University Dance Team travels to Daytona Beach, FL to compete in the National Dance Alliance Collegiate Championship against other Division I teams from across the country. Last year, we placed 3rd in both the Team Performance and the Hip Hop categories! We hope to perform even better this year as we enter a new category, but we can't get there without your help!
The Road to Nationals
We would like to compete at Nationals and once again achieve our goal of placing among the top teams in the nation! Bringing the title of National Champions home to BU in 2014 and 2016 were amazing experiences, and we would be extremely proud to do it again.
