Description

The Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers (SHPE) is a nationwide organization devoted to advancing the academic, professional, and social development of Hispanics in the science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) domains. Our greatest asset at SHPE has undeniably been our extensive network, which includes students, professionals, and industry partners. Through our collective efforts, we strive to realize our mission of empowering the Hispanic STEM community within Boston University by hosting professional development events and creating a safe environment for members to join.

One of the means through which we achieve this is by attending SHPE's National Convention. Transparently, the financial breakdown of the National Convention involves a cost of roughly $900 per person for a group of 25 members, totaling approximately $22,500. This convention enables our members to partake in a multitude of educational workshops, engage in engineering symposiums, and access an exceptional two-day career fair, among other enriching experiences. This year's convention is set to take place in Salt Lake City, Utah, spanning from November 1st to 5th, and our aim is to take 25 members this time around.

To ensure the continuation of offering this incredible opportunity to our members, we kindly seek your support!
