FAQs

When will I receive my face masks?
Your face masks should arrive in the mail within four to six weeks after you have made your gift.

What material are the face masks?

  • 2 ply 100% cotton fabric.
  • Outer Layer: 100% Breathable cotton
  • Inner Layer: 100% Unbleached cotton for added filtration and breathable comfort
  • They are washable and reusable.
Can I get more than one face mask?

You will receive one mask per transaction. To receive multiple masks you would need to submit multiple separate transactions of $25 or more.

Can you ship internationally?

Unfortunately, we are unable to ship internationally.

Where will the additional masks be donated?

BU has opened five collection sites (four on CRC and one on MED), staffed with over 150 people, to support a seven days per week operation aimed at collecting ~6,200 tests per day. All of these locations have various PPE requirements, but all of them require the use of face coverings. While BU does provide PPE to these individuals, this donation of masks is a way to say thank you to those on the front lines.

Is my gift tax deductible?

Yes. You will receive a tax receipt via email after you make a gift. The market value of the mask is $9.50. The tax-deductible amount of your gift will be any amount given above the $9.50.

If I still have a question, how can I get in touch?

Please contact our Annual Giving team by email at give2bu@bu.edu or by phone at 1-800-447-2849.

#TerriersTogether

A face mask announces that you’re doing your part to curtail the spread of COVID-19. And when it looks this good, you’re also proclaiming your love for BU and the Terrier Community.

Donate $25 or more to any of the four COVID-19 emergency funds, and receive a BU face mask as a token of our appreciation.

For every gift made this week, we will donate a new BU mask to our community members working on the front lines – including those staffing the BU COVID-19 testing centers on campus. While BU does provide PPE to these individuals, this donation of masks is a way to say "Thank you!" to those on the front lines.
